What are Ayurvedic Remedies? It's alright if you don't know. Ayurveda is essentially a natural system or form of medicine. Ayurveda mostly uses herbs, plants, oils, and other common spices as a form of medicine, such as aloe, turmeric, tulsi, pepper, elachi and ginger.
The word, "Ayurveda" is from the Sanskrit language. When broken down, "Ayur" means life, and "Veda" means knowledge. Thus, the whole definition of the world means, "the knowledge of life".
Ayurvedic medicine originated from India, over 3000 years ago. This medicine can is proven to help anxiety, asthma, digestive problems eczema, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, and even rheumatoid arthritis. This treatment is claimed to be better than allopathy because it completely cleanses the body of diseases and infections naturally, with less symptoms.
Example Remedies...

A simple ayurvedic remedy is turmeric + salt-water. This remedy can help when you have a sore throat or itchy throat. Gargling with this 2-3 times a day for a week can completely remove the itchiness residing in your throat.
The same ingredients can be used to promote digestion, and even reduce inflammation.
Sesame Oil...
Sesame oil can be used in many different scenarios in a form of Ayurveda. For example, to strengthen the roots of your hair, and ensure a healthy scalp, you can apply sesame oil frequently in your hair.
Another example of a use of this oil is for consumption. Consuming sesame oil can reduce inflammation, control blood sugar, give high concentrations of antioxidants, prevent/reduce arthritis, prevent the development of chronic diseases and so much more. This is all due to it's high concentration of Vitamin E, lignans, sesamol, sesaminol and phytosterols.
